Judge Me Not

Don’t mistake my simplicity with stupidity,
Don’t mistake my honesty with absurdity,
Don’t mistake my benevolence with selfishness,
Don’t mistake my kindness with flirting,
Don’t mistake my frankness with presumptuousness,
Don’t mistake my Romanticism with romanticism.
Don’t mistake my childlike innocence with jejuneness or arrogance.

I might sound immature to you,
Maybe I am or maybe I’m not,
Maybe I’m pretending to be one
Or maybe not.

Don’t judge others so quickly;
People can’t judge others
Even after knowing each other for decades,
And you want to judge me in a few minutes?
