A million dollars can buy you, man’s best friend,
But it can’t make its tail sway;
It’s not without any reason that,
Dogs are hardwired this way.
One occasional bread, is all that,
It expects to get, to become,
Your best friend forever;
You can’t buy its trust, you gotta earn it.
Humans are no different from dogs,
Except for the inflated ego they carry,
Without which, man’s best friend,
Would probably have been, another man.
